Thus, we have carefully selected a multitude of elements— from biophilia and bespoke art to specialised lighting, unique fragrances and even nature-inspired sound— to create a unique sensory experience that enhances your wellbeing by simply experiencing our space.
Supported by our therapeutic and restorative scent, The HVN Fragrance, our space has been inspired by the warmth and cocooning quality of ancestral caves: As organic shapes, natural textures, and diffused light draw upon our primal instinct to connect with the space around us to feel safe and the innate human desire to embrace the essence of nature.
Our experiential retail space, forest bathing pre-treatment area, six treatment suites, dedicated consultation room, two unique recovery pods, and seminar space all have been crafted with this approach in mind to ensure a uniquely tranquil environment; a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Inspired by the mindful and meditative ancient Japanese art of ‘Shinrin Yoku’ or Forest Bathing, we have crafted our very own sensory natural biome that echoes the lush flora of the woodlands. Forest Bathing has proven physiological, psychological, and emotional wellness benefits— including reduced blood pressure and stress, and increased NK Cell activity— by connecting people with the surrounding natural world. Through biophilia, lighting, fragrance, and birdsong, we have captured the essence of the forest and invite you to experience its benefits as a complimentary pre-treatment.
In addition to the dappled natural light, we have also curated our space to feature Circadian Lighting. This lighting mimics the natural lighting patterns of the sun, thus sending the same environmental queues to the brain activating the necessary hormones for many anatomical processes such as sleep and digestion; and assists in optimising bodily functions for both productivity and rest periods.
Studies have proven that visually stimulating, engaging art is a pathway to mental wellbeing through increased dopamine release. Thus, we have specially commissioned art which are in complete symbiosis with The HVN architecture. There’s Ossimoro by celebrated Italian sculptor Andrea Serra, a bespoke stone sculpture which represents the union of opposing natural elements. Glow Pots by renowned sculptor Martha Freud is a nature-inspired installation composed of ceramic with reliefs of pressed foliage. And The Cove Seat, our hand-carved, organically shaped, wooden seating element— crafted from ethically sourced wood.
